Impreza : If you’ll forgive me for invoking a hallowed piece of genre-defining cinema, there’s a moment in The Brady Bunch Movie that always tends to stick in my head. Jan Brady, the middle of three sisters, has grown mildly psychotic, and she’s begun talking to herself. Her sister, Marcia, always seems to have the upper hand:

Chevrolet’s 2009 Traverse slides in $370 cheaper than the Saturn Outlook, and packs a more advanced version of the 3.6-liter V-6 engine that utilizes direct injection and produces a little more power than its Saturn cousin. Direct-injection engine and aerodynamic improvements help the Traverse post a city fuel economy rating of 17 mpg, a touch better than Outlook’s 16 mpg rating.

The crossover’s price can quickly escalate by adding options like 20-inch wheels, all-wheel drive, power liftgate, navigation system, Bose stereo, rearview camera, sunroof, and rear-seat entertainment system. Exact prices for these options are still unknown, but it’s more than likely the Traverse will be able to nip at the heels of GM’s more expensive crossovers by the time you load it up. Buyers looking to option out their crossover might want to consider the Buick Enclave and take advantage of its quieter ride.

Turkey is famous for its carpets and sweets and within a few years it could well become the green counterpart of Detroit. Cars like the Antro Solo could be mass produced there and exported to parts of the world. Antro what? Let me explain.

The Antro Solo is a three-seater, 600 pound, 100 mpg, 87 mph car. It will be all yours for just $18,000 in the year 2012. Built entirely of carbon fiber and composites, the power to run the car comes from not one or two, but four sources: gas, battery, solar panels and… PEDALS !

Even if the current Saturn Aura had an imposing launch in 2006, sales were much under expectations. Next generation was supposed to be launched in mid 2009 as a 2010 model and built on the Epsilon II platform. The European version of the future Saturn Aura is the newly launched Opel Insignia. It seems that GM has second thoughts about the launch of the future Aura and decided to put the project on hold.

According to GM Inside News, the company didn’t come with an explanation on why such a decision was made, considering it’s pretty odd to come with such a change so close to the product’s launch.

Did you ever think at a car could be powered by an airplane engine? Although it is still a concept, Bell Aurens unveiled today their customized Land Rover, powered by a 27-litre V12 Merlin engine and capable to develop 1,500 hp. Called the Longnose, the car you see in the photos represents an exclusive interpretation of the old design of the British car. The vehicle is in fact an off-road convertible, featuring a yacht-like tail like the cars back in 1930’s which will be powered also by the Rover V8 4.6-litre engine or the 5.0 or the V16(two V8 engines).

Being a custom built vehicle, it is hard to give an exactly price due to the fact that it will be built after the exactly indications of the customers. For example, the basic price for a standard tail vehicle powered by the 235 hp 4,6-litre V8 engine will be around € 125,000 plus VAT. A Longnose featuring yacht tail vehicle powered by a 5,0-litre capable to develop 280 hp will be offered at a price of approximately € 150,000.
